DESCRIPTION:Boogie down with parks kūpuna at the 55th Senior Valentine Dance!\nThis heart-felt event returns to the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall on Friday\, February\, 6\, 2026\nYou are invited to a celebration of love and kūpuna vitality as the 55th Annual Senior Valentine Dance returns to the Neal S. Blaisdell Exhibition Hall on Friday\, February 6 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon! \nThis free event is open to the public\, and is certainly not limited to kūpuna though they are the stars of the show!  Many of the senior citizen participants are active members of the 30 City and County of Honolulu Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) Senior Clubs from around O‘ahu. \nThe festivities include a melodious mix of tunes from the fabled Royal Hawaiian Band\, VIP and local celebrity appearances\, and most importantly hundreds of kūpuna boogying down on the dance floor! There will be plenty of dancing opportunities with ballroom hits\, line dancing\, and loads of pop music. \nMahalo to additional support from Wellcare by ‘Ohana Health Plan. \nFirst organized in 1969\, the Senior Valentines Dance is one of many special events organized by the DPR’s Senior Division. SUMMARY:Honolulu Mayor's 49th Annual Craft and Country Fair
DESCRIPTION:Once Halloween is in the rearview mirror\, the season of holiday cheer draws near with a chance to support the kūpuna you hold dear! Get an early start on your holiday shopping\, with proceeds going towards your local park senior clubs\, by attending the 49th Annual Mayor’s Craft & Country Fair. This time-honored holiday shopping and fundraising event is scheduled for Saturday\, November 22 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Neal S. Blaisdell Exhibition Hall. \nParticipants will enjoy this free\, fantastic. and fun opportunity to buy affordable gifts of all shapes and sizes\, with the Senior Club vendors offering a wide variety of: crafts\, jams & jellies\, baked treats\, handmade accessories\, pottery\, fresh flowers\, second-hand goods\, and fresh produce from our People’s Open Market. In addition\, over 40 exhibitor booths will be available with information and activities on senior-related topics. \nBring a canned good to donate to the Hawai‘i Food Bank to support a happy holiday season for those in need. The Ala Moana Lions Club will additionally be collecting used eye glasses and hearing aids for repair and redistribution. \nEntry into the fair is free and open to all ages. The regular\, event parking rate of $8 per vehicle will be in effect for parking within the Blaisdell.
